About the Journal

As we launch the International Journal of Education, we embark on a journey to foster global dialogue, share innovative research and advance knowledge in the field of education. This Journal provides a platform for scholars, educators and policy makers to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions and explore new frontiers in educational theory and practice. In this inaugural issue, we feature a range of topics relevant to all the levels of education. Key themes include the digitalisation of education from management to teaching and learning, assessment, induction of new teachers, gamification, instructional leadership and teacher training. We also explore gender equality in teaching and learning, continuous assessment, distributed leadership among others. These are contributions and approaches that characterise Africa and the global community. We invite scholars, researchers, policymakers, administrators and practitioners to submit their work, engage with our community and contribute to the ongoing conversation about education’s role in shaping individuals, societies and the future.
